Travis Manion and Brendan Looney were roommates at the naval academy and became as close as brothers. One became a Marine stationed in Iraq, the other, a Navy Seal in Afghanistan. Both have died and were laid to rest side-by-side in Arlington's National Cemetery. David Martin reports.

  • @punkyvid No, he was not 100% in English right off the bat. There's plenty of evidence for this. This is typical of the times. When someone throughout history doesn't get married and have children and writes of how they love other men, they're automatically assumed to be gay. I love my friends, cousins, and brothers, I'm not gay and I'm not afraid to say I love them. This is similar to how Walt Whitman was assumed to be gay by a certain group of people.

  • @discofishing You are correct in that there is evidence of pedophilia, but there is also evidence that he was very much a homosexual. But surely he was more than competent in his role in spite of language barriers, otherwise Washington would not have selected him to serve in such a prominent capacity (unless you doubt Washington's judgment, which would be amusing), and that his sexuality proved to be completely irrelevant in his ability to do his job.

  • @punkyvid He was a pedophile. That's what a lot of evidence points to. Then again, English WAS NOT his native language and he had to have others relay his orders. Then again, just because someone does not get married and have children does not mean they are gay. Nice try though. Did you ever serve? Where you ever a career soldier? I was. There's something you need to understand. A lot of career soldiers consider their troops family and they do not get married or have kids.

  • @discofishing Will you please link my reply regarding George Washington's Chief of Staff and how he was a homosexual? It's quite disingenuous not to link it. Thanks.

  • @discofishing Prussian-born Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben. He was George Washington's Chief of Staff and was a homosexual. He played a key role in the battles of Monmouth and Yorktown.

  • @punkyvid Name a homosexual who served in the military during the revolutionary war.
