I thought this song worked well in portraying both Catherine and Anne, because in the end, though they were rivals and more or less hated each other, they kind of shared the same fate being cast off by Henry. Of course, Annes fate (in my opinion) was worse than Catherines because Elizabeth was a lot younger than Mary, and besides that, Anne was sentenced to death, whereas if Catherine had participated with Henry in the divorce (though she had reason not to, I know) she probably would have been treated with dignity and respect.

Anyway, the song is Never Again by Kelly Clarkson. The clips are from natalie-dormer.org. No copyright infringement intended. Enjoy!

  • awesome vid! the song really goes well and great editing. i feel so sorry for all of henry wives, they all suffered. though i have to disagree with you on "anne got it worst". henry did poison katherine. elizabeth suffered less cause from memory didn't marry spend more time in isolation then her? plus marry was forced to serve elizabeth. and katherine would have lost all dignity if she went to a nunnery like he wanted. plus she loved him for real, unlike anne who just wanted to be queen.

  • @sweenett101 There's no evidence that ANYONE poisoned Katherine; she could just as well have had cancer, or simply been unhealthy. Elizabeth deserved a mother as much as Mary did, and never had one. By executing Anne, Henry gave his own daughter a lifelong distrust of men and marriage. And honestly, forcing Mary to serve Elizabeth was bad - a blow to her pride - but the people of England at the time had it a whole hell of a lot worse. And Anne? She might have adored him. You don't know.

  • Catharine is the best <3

  • Both Katharine and Anne died because of this man. Katharine died alone in seclusion and terrible conditions not being allowed to see her child. Anne was beheaded for convenience (who knows she might of had his son had she lived and was given the chance.) Elizabeth deserved to be raised by the person who undoubtedly loved her the most. The man was a monster.

  • @MagicCrafter Anyway lets just agree that they both had sucky deaths, you can't just say one was treated more fairly than the other.

  • @MagicCrafter Well in the series he did say "she made me poison Katherine".

  • i always wondered if when Anne went to Heaven, if she and Catherine laughed about what an ass Henry is and said sorry to each other lol

  • @xlovexothersxalsox Its funny how you think I select what I will respond to, but don't bother because I only reply to what is relevant. You have failed to show me the proof of what you say - how do I know if any of this is real? You may know them better than me, or not. But the bottom line is that these are 2 different opinons. Don't try to change mine, I won't touch yours.

  • @sammelina12 It's adorable how you pick and choose what you will respond to. I wonder how Elizabeth would have felt working on a plantation and being beaten by her owner. Afterall that's what she subjected (either directly or indirectly) millions of Africans to? Right. Elizabeth also had people executed for friviolous reasons yet you gloss over that. What Mary did was not uncommon at the time and she believed she was protecting her kingdom. -continued-

  • @TheNuharoo Exactly. That's why I can't believe people refer to her as intelligent. She might have been streetsmart but she lacked common sense. If she was so smart she wouldn't have picked fights with people closest to Henry. That is what ultimately put her head on the chopping block. Otherwise she probably would have just been sent away like Queen Katherine,

  • @xlovexothersxalsox Well honey I don't know if you haven't noticed but times back then were tough. Many people starved. Mary would know that, wouldn't she? After all the "300" people she murdered?

    right.
