Recipes below:
Salisbury Steak Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 to 1/12 pounds ground beef
2 cups of beef broth (1 can)
1 can condensed Cream of Mushroom soup
1 package of brown gravy mix
1 package of mushrooms (preferably baby bella, but white button work great, too)
1 egg (beaten)
½ cup of Italian bread crumbs
½ cup diced onions
¼ cup cognac (you can use marsala, or whatever wine you have on hand, if you have nothing, you can skip it -- I've had to do so before.)
4 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon Grave Master (you can find this little bottle by the gravy mixes in your local food store -- if you don't find it, or don't have it, you can go without; it just makes it a tiny bit more yummy though)
1 tablespoon flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
Directions:
Combine meat, bread crumbs, egg, onions, salt, pepper and 1.4 of the cream of mushroom soup. Mix well and shape into four oval patties.
Heat the oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in skillet over medium heat. Place patties in the skillet and brown on both sides.
Remove the patties, and set aside.
Add the remaining butter, cognac and mushrooms. Sautee the mushrooms.
Once the mushrooms are tender, add the beef stock, flour, gravy mix and gravy master. Whisk gravy until it's smooth. Then stir in remaining mushroom soup. Whisk until smooth.
Return the patties to the gravy/mushroom mixture and spoon over the top. Cover and let it simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
Hope you like -- I really love this one -- it beats the frozen Salisbury Steak any day!
Pie Crust Recipe:
This will make 2 pie crusts or 1 double crust pie.
Ingredients:
2 ½ cups flour
1teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) of cold butter cut into small pieces
1/4 to a 1/2 cup of ice water
Directions:
Combine the cut butter, salt, and sugar -- I use my hands to do this.
Add the flour to the butter mixture. Mix until all of the butter is even incorporated throughout the flour. Then add the ice water (do this gradually for you won't use all of the water).
Knead dough for ten minutes.
Split the dough into two balls, one for each crust.
Place dough ball on a floured surface, and with a well floured roller, roll the ball into the desired size.
Chill for at least an hour.
Place into your pie pan -- add your filling of choice and yum! LOL
Apple Pie Recipe:
Ingredients:
5 cups of apples (peeled, cored and cut)
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon nutmeg
Directions:
Peel, core and cut your apples (I prefer Macintosh). Slice them (the bigger the slice, the meatier the apple will be in the pie). Rinse them in cold water, drain and then set aside.
In a large pot or pan, melt the butter. Once melted, add the sugar, cinnamon, flour, salt and nutmeg. Then add the apples. Coat the apples in the butter, sugar cinnamon mixture (keeping the burner on low while you coat the apples).
Add the apples to your pie pan (it's going to be juicy so make sure you take a sheet pan, wrap in aluminum foil, and place it under your pan in the oven so it catches the drippings).
Bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes. (It's variable depending on your oven and how large you cut the apple slices, so just keep an eye on it for the first time. When it begins to turn golden brown on top, it's always usually done.)
Let it cool for an hour or two and then eat! LOL
Hope you all love it as much as me!
xo

I was able to smell the food, I'm serious!,) There are 4 pieces, one for each of you 2 and the rest goes to Rudy & the chicks, grumpf.. Funny, I thought last time, why don't you do a REAL cooking video (the TV personality-aura hangs over your channel anyway) and you did. I know your cordless mouse reaches to some distance but this..,)

I don't know, Shannon. Isn't it early in the season to take apples off the tree and consume them? I have an apple tree, and my apples don't ripen until late October. It takes that long for the sugar to come out. Of course, I don't know when this video and the creation of your apple pie were made.
