Thrills & Spills @ Oulton Park - Ma5da Championship Onboard with Clive Bailye - Race 2

http://www.driver-coaching.com - Watch from 22mins, almost a big crash on the finish line in this race onboard with Clive Bailye. A car that had been defending 'rather robustly' decides that a good place to brake test the chasing driver (Clive) is on the finish line and almost puts Clive into the wall at over 80mph.

This is Clives first season in the MX5s and really his first proper season of racing and he had already progressed to be a regular top 10 qualifier but problems with the car in quali had seem him back down towards mid grid.

This is race 2, Clive started 18th and Finished (just) 13th

@MaxxUK - Thanks a lot :) I think it´s very interesting to see if the times get slower or faster during the race, especially after incidents, causing slight agression and over-driving, or the exact opposite like Clive in this one getting smooth, and fast.

Great racing, perhaps a little ragged in the first half, then really winding up the pace towards the end. If that nitwit hadn't been swerving all over the road you might have had another place or two by the finish.

Very stupid braking. Has he been punished by the race director? That happened on the straight line, so he cannot justify his action in any way. Good that it did not have more serious consequences.

That novice needs a good talking to. At least twice he turned in on Clive on the straight when he was coming alongside.

I hope the stewards threw the book at the brake tester, only a mighty save saved Clive from probably a nasty accident. Dangerous driving at the very least.
