This is an edited version of a live recording of Richard Sexton playing "Cherry", a song he had written for theSEXTONES. Early 2003 there were new members joining the Sexton brothers and they needed to quickly get up to performance level and learn the set list. Richard sat down one afternoon and played and sang 10 songs into a minidisk recorder, each song played and recorded in one take. The idea was the new members of theSEXTONES, Rob and Steve, would have to learn the songs and what better way to learn them, than by hearing someone play them.
I always liked this track, particularly the guitar part so as it is stll unrecorded and believing others should have a chance to hear them, I took some video shot by Francine Bean and what you see is the result. Please enjoy and go and see Richard performing. He is still playing and still unsigned.
