  • Do you rest the water lines on Type Two as well? If so how thick is that underlying layer?

  • @KasinH On this project, the water lines run to the house and up through the footer on the exterior of the home. The main line and shutoff will be in the garage on an exterior wall. After that, water lines are run up the wall and into the second floor truss assembly. From there water for the 2nd floor is branched up and for the first floor is branched down. There are no water lines under the house.

  • If that was tested you would find that the only compaction from that plate tamper will be in the first 1" of the gravel surface
