Hi :) I wanted to ask you your opinion. Im a guy and I have oily skin. I use the gentle skin cleanser by Cetaphil, but should I use a moisturizer as well. and how often should i use moisturize? Thanks a lot

Hey!

It depends on how oily your skin is. If you get a moisturizing gel that would be better. You don't have to moisturize your skin. I have normal skin type and I rarely moisturize after washing it with a cleanser. So it really depends if you feel the need of moisturizer and if so then moisturize once at night and once in the morning! A product that I used but is quite on the pricy side is Clinique's Dramatically Different Gel. Check that out and see what you prefer!

yes defenitely you should use a moisturizer i use to have oily skin to and i stayed away from moisturizing my skin because i thought it would make my skin even more oily . then one day i tryed a NON OIL BASED MOISTURIZER( witch is very important ) and my skin was not oily . the man reason most peoples skin is oily is because your body is producing oil because it dosn't have enough moisture . as long as you get a moisturizer with no oil in it your skin will not be oily anymore

Hi, I'm 29yr old guy with mild to moderate acne and oily skin. I have been battling with Acne prone skin since last 12 years. I have been using a lot of over the counter products with BP/Salicylic Acid/Retinoids etc but in vain. Please advice a regime to get rid of this devil from my face. I have been suffering from a very low self esteem and low confidence. thanking you in advance. P.S. My GP also prescribed me some Anti-biotics which didnt do much difference at all.

@monkeyzahra no that's not true. no matter how oily or dry your skin skin is. you NEED to moisturize. If you have oily skin and you don't moisturize, your skin is gonna produce more oil because washing your face will strip all your natural oils and your skin will produce more to overcome that. I have really oily skin and moisturize all the time. for oily skin, use something that is light enough that it won't clog your pores yet moisturising and hydrating. simple hydrating light moisturizer is ok
