Malaysia police stops Singapore cars asking for 'kopi' money with brazenly

On 7 August 2011 - This video captured by a Singaporean driver across the Causeway, shows a police officer collecting 'kopi' money from a whole line of Singaporean drivers.

Caught for 'speeding', the driver had no choice but to pay up to avoid the fine. At one point, the policeman even said the amount the driver paid up was not enough, and asked for RM 50.

if im not mistaken.. the police officer asking for RM100 (diver said cannot) then dropped to RM50.. anywhere.. since u are willing to pay 'kopi lui'.. dont 'kao be kao bu' lar.. RM50 nothing what (only SGD$20+).. u should know how many demerit points will be deducted & how much is the compound fine if its happen in singapore.. u actually have a chance to appeal for leniency in malaysia.. but u failed to do so.. who to blame? blame yourself lor.. bad luck lor.. sad!!

I remembered those day when my friend was driving about to pass the routine road block.. The police officer stops our car.. My friend wanted to confuse the officer by asking some direction as we were acting in lost.. Guess what happens? The officer gladly helped us with the direction and we thanked him.. He was happy and we were allowed to go.. This is like a small jackpot to us.. We saved our kopi and I suppose that officer forgotten what he's after..
