One thing I never really did understand is, how did the screen showing the jury spokespersons just seem to appear out of nowhere when they were delivering their points?? Was it a form of trick photography, virtual reality or what?? I'm not a techno - phobe it's just that in my opinion the Irish / RTE seemed to have a unique way of displaying real life pictures, scoreboard etc when presenting the Eurovision, and to be honest, while I'm not ignorant, these technologies fascinate me..

@MegaMarioman97 Germany didn't win again this year because the song was much weaker than last year, "Satellite" was an uptempo pop song whereas "Taken by a Stranger" was an odd Lena-does-The-Cure type affair. "Running Scared" wasn't my favourite, however it sounds like a standard chart hit and it is catchy. Italy came 2nd and Sweden 3rd both with good, catchy songs, and as mentioned below, the UK did well on televoting. Block voting can stop you getting nul points but it can't make you win

@MegaMarioman97 What about Germany? They're one of the most un-popular countries at eurovision. To be fair, when did the UK last actually deserve to win? I think it was 98 and we came a close 2nd.

@Bille994 look at who wins every year countrys with friends. Sure eurovision have changed the rules a bit, but us lonely countrys never win

@MegaMarioman97 not really.. If the BBC entered a great song again then we'd definitely stand a chance. Remember we came 5th in 2009 and 5th in the televoting in 2011. It's just that our entries have really sucked over the last decade.

It's Funny when you watch this and think anyone could win because its about the songs, then you watch it now and pretty much no whos gonna win cause everyone votes for friends, which is why the UK don't win it anymore
