Nope Sir - it's a 1956 Chrysler Windsor Newport. The Windsor has a V at the rear fender, the New Yorker chrome louvers and a different front fender. The grille is more distinctively at the New Yorker plus the New Yorker has a 354 Hemi, the Windsor a 331 Spitfire poly hemi engine.

This was Chrysler's base model. The ironic thing is, it looks more luxurious than most of the upper level cars of the time.

it should be a two speed powerflite not torqueflite

I may be wrong but if the New Yorker was the top of the line wasn't the Newport the base model? Just wondering how it could be both.

I think he mis-spoke the way people do about Chrysler's Sure-Grip differential, you know how the Brand X guys always say "posi."
