adler looks like the happiest person in the band, he's got so honest smile

Look at Steven's face when he hears "Civil War". He's like "... wat"

As a 14 yr. old GnR fan this was the most anticipated TV performance ever for me and they were awesome. The greatest band in the world at their peak playing a great new song.

Poor Steven....

You have to be a hardcore drummer to notice anything bad about his playing. The tempo is slower than the studio version and the little rolls he does on the ride in the beginning are a bit sloppy. That's not enough though to fire someone.

@viletantrum AND, Steven was already kicked out by the time that shit happened anyway
-
@muziktrkr what WAS mentioned in Steven's book was that he did not give her shit! He called the ambulance AFTER she came to his house AFTER she was partying with Hanoi rocks guitarist's wife...he was guilty by association.

Steven was fired b/c he was the biggest junkie out of all the guys when they were recording Illusions I & II. He couldn't keep himself together to record so they had to let him go. Shame too, because I dug his playing and that was the slow and timely beginning of the end. Once Izzy left aslo...well, you know.

Gn'R the way should have stayed. No annoying backup singers and Axl in biker shorts.

drums sounded just fine to me. didnt sense anything wrong
I've just read Adlers autobiography and I feel sorry for him when I see this, he doesnt play badly, he never heard the vocals before and they all played pretty rough(duff makes more misstakes than Steven) but you cant hide your mistakes on drums, I beleive Adler when he says this gig was a stitch up to make him look bad
