@shredx81 It depends on your style I suppose. I found that alternate picking everything was a way of getting real definition into each note because my hammers and economys sounded too slurry and eventually it became incredibly easy. On the other hand I have a mate who can sweep pick perfectly but when it comes to alternate picking he finds it too fiddly and too tinny so he ignores it. Its alot of what you practice and what you prefer your sound to be like.

I wish the backing track had the high-hat going in the intro. Easy to lose pace without it. This tune is totally relentless. One mistake & you're playing catch up.
Looks like Petrucci alternately picks everything aswell. Not quite sure how he does it. I can only play this with economy picking, sweeps & occasional slurs.
