My Grandpa won a bronze star for getting one of his buddy's out of a fire while people were shooting at him, this makes me proud to be his grandson. Ross McGinnis throws himself on a grenade and saves the lives of 4 other people, this makes me proud of him and his family, knowing that thousands of other soldiers are risking their lives out there to defend our country... this makes me proud to be an AMERICAN!

RIP, brave warrior. We lost another MOH recipient this week. Marine Jack Lucas also threw himself on granade on Iwo Jima. He lived to receive the medal.
These men are our country's finest.
