pigs pigs pigs . . . and more pigs. Joel Salatin (www.polyfacefarms.com), in an email about the swine flu outbreak, wrote "I guess you saw where Smithfield has a 950,000 confinement hog operation in the locality at the epicenter of the outbreak. Strange coincidence." Reminded me what Russ Kremer said about concentrating too many of anything . . .

  • My mother an I no longer eat pork products. Not only is it too risky (personally, for us) with regard to all the antibiotics and hormones they are injected with, pork meat doesn't even taste the way it used to. As far as I'm concerned, the meat itself tastes like cardboard. Many people today don't even know what good, fresh food tastes like. They have poisoned our food.

  • I just got a job at a hog confinement... I hope this doesnt happpen to me but I NEEDED THIS JOB!!! Our economy sucks ass. And bio security is a huge deal at all farm.

  • That is how a hog farm should be!
