Sister, I didn't mean that last comment as a negative remark against you in any way. (the "sexy" thing); I'm just noting how so many things are minimized to be exploited as simple sexual practices for simple gratification. We often miss the bigger picture over here in the States. There is a Strong Healing component to Belly Dance that viewers tend to miss. We need to vibrate higher! ~OKeba

i just received my dvd and i use it everyday so stunned because my body just naturally moves even w/out effort. i love it i do it all thru the day even while i shower, i love it love it love it.

RIGHT ON! lol most people dont realize that when belly dancing first came about in like 200BC they were people of color! Of course it was middle east around in Egypt but you catch my drift. This is really neat too! I like how they were showing a break down of moves.

Damn shame that people don't realize that this (LIKE ALL) belongs to us. This is our ancient dance and just like with every genre of dance was taken away from us. We need to recognize! Its a shame because when we decide to return to it, we are looked at as the foreigners! Damn shame if you ask me. Think about the "jitterbug - renamed by european americans; but its really called the lindy hop. Hip hop is being taken over, Look at Salsa...same thing. We need to take our crafts BACK!
