We have a one year old Morkie, Rexie, king of the house. I clean his eyes every day or so. I use tissue with water and a tiny bit of probiotic powder (I'm not sure if the probiotic powder is advisable, but it works great for me). The eye tears come right off with a clean dry tissue. The "tears" can cause infection I believe if not removed constantly. The vet complimented me on what great care I take of my precious Rexie. He is on Facebook too in my album. There also are appropriate eye wipes.
