Eurosceptic Denmark and Iceland might see the recession as leading to an economic shotgun wedding but it just seems to have reinforced British eurosceptics' stiff upper lip.

  • Oh and just for good measure, especially for those who are still in favour of this shark infested slime pit - Do you actually know who your MEP is, a staggering 97% of people don't. Nor do they know what it stands for, what it is, or what it does!

The next question, does Brussels actually realize how many of us really hate it? and does it care?.. No of course not. Well neither do we, so a final simple message.

GET OUT OF OUR COUNTRY AND GET OUT OF OUR LIVES.

Take your Parliament and shove it.

  • Huh the only country? - Is that why Finland has just supported the True Finn party, Euro skeptic, no, not Euro skeptic, we are Euro fed up.

Take that stinking parliament and collapse into dust. We don't need you, we don't want you and basically to the European Parliament - Go to Hell...

The sooner The UK leaves the EU the better, then we can begin to look after ourselves instead of being told what to do by the great white corrupt shark which governs Europe.

  • @cornel10 Financially speaking, perhaps the EU could work; if it was just made up of stable/well off countries. It would still be spitting on democracy, but it would be more stable. The reason it isn't stable isn't because of corruption in poor countries, it is of greed in the EU itself.

Who was it that let unfit countries into the EU? It's a political project, they want the United States of Europe; regardless of the cost. Now it's falling apart but they refuse to admit it.

  • @AnnoyedDragon Yes, today , it's one way relationship but I believe that , in the future, things will be changed, poorly European countries will increase their economies , becoming solvent partners.I hope that I'm not too optimist but , this is the only future that I can see it . Otherwise, God save our poor asses. If you want to know my humble opinion, the real problem is the corruption from poor countries and this why I'm glad to be under the influence of strong civilized western countries.

  • @AnnoyedDragon Being in a country that has to pay near £50 million a day for EU membership? Yes, In do see it as wrong. The better off countries are being made to supplement the poorer member states.

As far as I'm concerned this is a one way relationship.

  • @cornel10 Because they couldn't just set their own boarder controls?

Greece doesn't look too healthy these days, people are saying they should have never joined the EU; and will likely fall back into their own currency again. Even the EU, that forbid bailouts, had to break their own rules to respond to the situation. If they were on their own it would be Greece's problem, now it's the whole EU's problem. Just like Ireland, Spain, Italy and Portugal are problems.

    The EU is hardly working.

  • @AnnoyedDragon Today, every country from euro zone deserve its own monetary mass according to the economical strenght of each country. To avoid the economical failure of weak states of Europe it needs some help and co-operation between rich countries and poor countries. Is this something wrong for you?

  • @AnnoyedDragon Greece has many benefits because of E.U.I can tell you that there are a lot of peoples from eastern countries who chose to make their vacancies in Greece because of open borders of E.U. countries.National currencies were compared to strong foreign currencies ( dollar or German mark ) and all they got by controlling the national currencies was to print more money , growing the inflation. Personally, I don't think that inflation is good for economy and trading between countries.

  • @cornel10 Countries were trading with each other just fine before the EU came along. They could make decisions that were in their own interests, and they weren't locked in a monetary union. Currencies could value themselves appropriately depending on the economic strength of each country, so you didn't get countries like Greece who are highly dependant on tourism; using the same currency as economic powerhouses like Germany.

  • @AnnoyedDragon Do you prefer customs taxes? You forget that rich countries sales free their products to poor countries from Europe, this is one of great advantage of rich countries from E.U., the free market.Of course, there is the reverse , cheap workers from poor Europeans countries but, sometime it must be an equality between European countries, don't you think so?
