This man is one of my greatest heroes since Jose Rizal... I love the movies he's in. Most Especially "To Hell and Back". God bless him!!!

I think he was 16 when he enlisted.. cuz he was 19 when he was awarded the medal of honor wich was in 1945. and he landed in north africa in 1942.. u do the math, 3 years... the book and the movie says so..

Audie Murphy is my favorite actor of all time, and he has been ever since I first found out all about his bravery in WW2. He was a man's man. I have about 35 of his movies on VHS so far. I wrote to one of his sons once, and his son sent me a picture of Audie. I even joined the Audie Murphy fan club several years ago. Even though he has been dead for 37 years, he is still my #1 favorite actor, and I watch his movies quite often. He was one of a kind.

Audie once said about his films: All the scripts are the same, they only change the horses. But I liked those films. They should make an Audie Murphy DVD box. I love him.
