  • my question is where the hell are farmers taking their grain then if all these structures are being imploded?

  • @garycalgary The question, where they take the grain now? Prince Rupert because of the expansion of Pacific Rim markets, and also up to Churchill Manitoba. With the ending of the Canadian Wheat Board monopoly, we are going to see increased traffic in the Port of Thunder Bay. The issue will be the capacity to handle the extra tonnes. We have around 19 grain elevators here, around 7 are decommissioned, meaning all of the guts are ripped out, and to put them back in operation may cost too much...

  • when did this happen? =S i dont rember it being blown up... is it the one by like the water front or...?

  • If you read the description it will tell you the date was in December 2000. And yes it is the grain elevator that used to sit right at the water front Pool six.

  • so upset when it happened i had just built myself a nice lil skatepark in there the summer b4

  • yes bigdaveV as you will find things do change, but soon i hope a scape park will arrive...

  • There is a BIG DIFFRENCE between IMPLOSION AND EXPLOSION. What happened in this video was implosion, meaning the building colapeses in on itself. Explosion means peices of the building would go everywhere. My friend Implodes buildings for a living here in Edmonton.

  • Lol my dad took me there to see that. He told me "Son, you should remember this well, it's a once in a lifetime thing, you'll never see it again."
