You should go to the Punch Bowl the other side of the park at this time of the year (late April). All the Azaleas and Rhododendrons are in bloom.

@maxriding Hi there, went there today. Had a great time. Started at Saville, walked through the valley gardens and around the water to the ruins past the cascade. Nice part of the world.

@maxriding Thanks for that, I'll try and find them next time I'm there. I love that part of the world, but am more familiar with the "Great Park" side.

Are those Roman ruins? I've never been to that part of the park. How does one get there?

@aoxomoxoa88 Hiya, yes the roman ruins where forgotten until very recently and had fallen into er ..... ruin!! lol. But they have now been spruced up and are well worth a look. From the main car park go right and follow the main path round and you will see them by a large open picnic area (there are signs pointing the way).
