its a folk tale that a woman felt bad for making her kids suffer since she was poor so she drowned them she realized what she had done and killed her self now when they go near the rio grande or pecos river they hear a sobbing woman they say its her that is la llorona

I heard that...her husband was always out of the house and she thought he was cheating on her..than she blamed it on her kids...so she drowned them at a near river and they died...next she felt bad fir them so now she's haunting for them...yelling aye mis niño(oh my kids) at night...my grandma lives next to the Peco River..so everytime I go to bed I'm scared...

my mexican friend said that the husband paid more attention to the kids and she was jealous and threw them in the river and he burned her and her hair is long and over her face so no one can c her face plus she was mexican not indian and cool bloody hand at the end
