About Jim Kucher:
J. Howard (Jim) Kucher is the executive director of the Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Baltimores Merrick School of Business. The Entrepreneurial Opportunity Center (www.ubalt.edu/opportunity) which he founded in May of 2006, now directly supports 25 innovative ventures, and has reached over 2500 business leaders and innovators in the Baltimore region. One of the leading projects in this program is the Baltimore Social Enterprise Collaborative, which combines the vision and mission of the social entrepreneur; the insight of leading academics in business, public-private partnerships, non-profit management and public policy and the technical assistance of a hand selected cadre of graduate students to help build social benefit ventures that work.
