I've been having issues with my receiver that came with my Onkyo HTS-6100 HTIB unit. The receiver is the Onkyo HTR667, similar to the TX-SR606. When switching inputs through HDMI, I get the error, "No input selected". First, it started with only the input where my xbox 360 was connected to. I assumed it was just the Xbox that was having the issue. Then, it started to happen to all of my inputs. Only the CBL\SAT input worked, which had my Motorola DVR. I took my receiver to get serviced on 10/13/09 and picked it up 10/19/09. I was informed that the HDMI card was replaced. According to the the invoice, these are the part numbers for the new HDMI card:
"Part # 22242394R3
SII9134CTU
Q8401"
When I first connected my AVR yesterday, the inputs did not work for the first 30 seconds. I feared that the problem was still present. I power cycled the unit and then it started to work no problem. Today, 10/20/09, I powered on the unit with the input CBL\SAT selected and was able to watch a SD channel. I changed it to HBOHD, again the error, "No input selected". UGH!!! I turned on my PS3(input VCR\DVR), Xbox 360(AUX), and ONKYO DVD player(DVD) and none of them worked! Swapped back to CBL\SAT, and got sound from my Cablebox, but no picture. I am extremely disappointed in this AVR because I read great things about Onkyo. Mind you, every one at AVSForums agreed that their AVR's ran hot, but that was it. More and more, I am seeing that others are having the same issue. Onkyo better get its act together...
Update, after 30 minutes of leaving the receiver on CBL\SAT, I finally got an HD picture to work with sound..
*********UPDATE***********
I received my my AVR from the service center about two weeks ago. So far, so good. The Onkyo has been working like the first day I got her. The owner of the service center, Madison Engineering in East Rutherford, NJ, was very helpful through out this whole ordeal. He even took my avr to his house, connected it to his home theater, and noticed that the problem only happened with 1080P signals. The HDMI card was replaced twice. This time around, it worked. If it stops working, I will update this video.
******Second UPDATE 02/03/2010*********************
My unit is still working, thank God. But wanted to also add something else that I noticed started to work again after my HDMI card was replaced. When I first bought my receiver in July of '08, I was able to use the On Screen Display to program the receiver. About 2 months later, the OSD decided not to work. I was only able to change the input settings the old fashioned way, through the LCD of the receiver, which was a pain. Since I barely used this function since I lost the ability to use it in the very beginning of me owning my receiver, I forgot about it. The other day, I was playing with my inputs on my receiver, and boom, the OSD came back. Wow, the faulty HDMI issue really started two months after unwrapping it from the box. So now, after I got my HDMI card replaced, it solved another issue, the long lost OSD.
**UPDATE**01/26/2011***
Wow, so after many months of not having any issues, I am now getting a Green screen from my comcast box, I have to toggle from CBL/SAT to Aux, then back to CBL/SAT to get the picture back. Looks like my receiver is dying again...NO MORE ONKYO FOR ME!
***UPDATE*** 07/30/2011
To play HD content, I have to let the unit warm up for 15 minutes..
It's gotten worse that even SD channels look pixelized.
Miine is doing the same thing. Im so pissed off with this receiver.

@scottmann50 Tell me about it. Is it still under warranty?

I have a lower end Onkyo receiver, the TX8255. After 8 months of normal use the sound began cutting out. The Onkyo repair shop went bankrupt. I paid someone else $175.00 but now I have sound from only one speaker. The Onkyo head office brushed me off. I have had so much aggravation from this piece of junk. If anyone one wants to initiate a class action suit against Onkyo, contact me.

@operafantic send a message to matthewberns on youtube. He approached me about a class action suit of some sort. good luck.
PS. My Onkyo receiver now takes even longer for HD to be displayed. I have to warm up the unit for 15 minutes before HD content can be displayed. Yamaha here I come..

I have the same problem, it doesn't show playstation on 1080p, it works with cable if I turn it off and on or wait for it to warm up. My xbox works if I wait about a half hour with it on.
