@314299 Interesting. I guess I'll just wait and see how mine turns out. Just out of curiosity, what do you pay for 00 Buck there? My local shop sells a 25rnd box of bird for around $5 (this is what I shoot the most because of cost) and 00 Buck for around $4 per 5. I'm sure I could get better prices online or in bulk but it's not too bad.

@kevinh89 I don't believe I have ever tried that. But I think you might get two 3" and two 2-3/4" shells in the magazine.
One of these would certainly be handy to pack around for bear protection, and the price is good.

@kevinh89 It holds three 3" shells in the magazine and four 2-3/4" shells.

Yes I have shot several rounds of skeet at the local trap and skeet club with this shotgun, my scores were about the same as they are with longer barrel shotguns (I generally shoot 22 to 24 out of 25). Be prepared for a lot of attention when you show up for skeet with one of these - the usual question being "Is that legal?".
Recoil with slugs is pretty brisk, and as the stock has a lot of drop the gun does come up a bit when fired.

I will try again, first comment didn`t register, just a stupid question if you will, have you ever tried skeet shooting with this little beauty and how is the recoil with slugs, because my range allows shotguns, however just firing slugs, let me know...thanks.nice vid btw.
I am looking for a shotgun when I go hiking and to keep beside me in the tent. Would I be better off with the 8.5 barrel or ths one?

@FuriousPixel I would say the 12`is better. Ive fired the 8.5`version and the flash would blind you and the noise would deafen you, the 12`is bad enough.

What kind of pattern can you get with 00 Buck at around 10 yards or so? I am thinking about chopping my barrel to the same length but I still want it to be a useful weapon within HD distances. Also, does there appear to be enough "meat" at the end of the barrel in case you wanted to do threads for a choke? Thanks!

@gunut4FMJ I rarely fired 00 buck since it's so expensive, most of my shooting was with small shot (#7-1/2 & #8) so I'm sorry to say I can't answer your question. I no longer own the gun in the video, it has been replaced with another of the same barrel length with screw in choke tubes and has ghost ring sights. I can tell you that on the original one in the video there was lots of metal if I had wanted to have it modified for choke tubes.
