I apologize to everyone! But I have one more thought; Maybe, just maybe this is why they are not in the R&R Hall of Fame. Because--who are you inducting?? The double album politically left wing/original brilliant Terry Kath, Robert Lamm, Pete Cetera era musicians/style....or the bulky/ 80's/ 90's "power ballad" hit makers who FIRED their drummer after they made a pact that once a member, ALWAYS a member? Maybe the academy is confused!!!!

I may have not answered jncyt's question accurately enough if he, or she is too young to remember Chicago in the 1970's. They were very far to the "left" politically during their early career. Robert Lamm was EXTREMELY against Richard Nixon. It is perceived here by dowahditty 69,to be a cop out for them to appear on the Fox network, known for it's very "right wing" leanings. This is what I believe dowahditty meant.

Why? Because the liner notes for Chicago 2 stated:
"We dedicate ourselves to the revolution, in all it's forms"
and now--even though a local station--they were on FOX!!
