Mastery

I started painting and producing arts and crafts 2 years ago. I started painting picturesque landscapes and slowly discovered a true passion for contemporary abstract painting and illustrations. I believe that the transition between my old painting styles to abstract style, while going outside my comfort zone was a way to play the edge. Since I started exploring contemporary art I developed an asymmetric painting technique that Ive been seeking to master. By painting (practicing) in a regular basis I developed a unique style, which I am focusing on mastering furthermore. I easily obtain inspiration from everyday objects and designs. I believe that when you follow your passion all the work you do becomes pleasurable, even though you apply a great deal of effort. Sometimes I get inspired by various thins such as pictures, architectural structures, sculpture, or even a fabric pattern. Once I get inspired, I visualize the outcome, and then I translate that into abstract paintings. Although abstract painting is a hobby of mine I try to incorporate all the guidance that I get from my design classes to my work. The painting I produced in this video belongs to a series of three black and white paintings, and represents my mastery.
