Calming signals seen in this video are: head turn, sniffing, shaking off, urination, splitting.

Polite greetings & play in dogs is very much a ritualistic dance...if you learn to watch for calming signals, you will know how well the interaction is going. Avoiding direct hard stares is critical in maintaining peace in the language of dogs.
