Normally the Round the Island race is a family affair, but this year winds of up to 28 knots with seas to match made it much more of an 'offshore race'. We filmed with a Class 40, 'maxvmg', and had a fantastic sleigh ride along the south side of the Island.

Hey - we struggled to stay with you all the way round! MAXVMG must have been one of THE quickest monos for sure... Exciting sailing for sure - your teeney clip of Triohe - our Farrier F9 trimaran (at 2.25secs - teeney!) is about the only proof that we were even out there lol Cheers guys (and sorry for getting in your way over the finish - I'm sure you must have cursed us!
