First attempt at kinetic typography using Adobe After Effects. First time using AE as well. A little sketchy at some parts, but I don't have the patience to go back and fix. This took quite a long time to make. Hope you enjoy!

  • ok, i hate to sound like an angry troll, but i found 0:16, 1:28, 1:51, 2:13, & 3:03-3:23 somewhat difficult to read. the random movements, flashing fonts, and random ink splashes make it hard to understand what the words are. don't get me wrong, i love everything else in the video and can't wait to see more works from you. plus, this is your first attempt, so i definitely don't expect perfection, but it's still something to keep in mind. Subscribe.

  • @clay4647931 I agree with you. To be honest, they are the result a combination of unforeseen rendering issues (as in, I was not expecting them to play out the way they did in the final because of way I was utilizing the speed/camera of the preview) and purely from mistakes I couldn't muster up the energy to go back and fix. Like I said in the description, I am too lazy to go back into the source file and fix - the toll this stuff takes on one's computer is absurd. Thanks for the feedback!

  • Wow, let me say that is probably the best I've seen, especially if this was your first time. Like the whole atmosphere of this completely fits, and unlike a lot of people, you actually did the entire thing. Plus, you gave me some nostalgia becuase I swear I haven't heard this song in years. Thanks a lot for making this.

  • @SufferingInsomnia Never got the chance to thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate the love, friend.

  • @MrDrewdog76 Check out the tutorial called "Design Rhythmic Motion Typography in After Effects" on ae.tutsplus.com. It will teach you basically everything you'll need to know, and the rest comes from experimentation.

  • VERY VERY VERY NICE!

  • Thank you for entertaining me with music and an awesome video. I love stuff like this. I just love to imagine how you put this together since I went to multi media design in high school but I dont have the right software. I hope you keep making more

  • @luciusvorenus13 I see, well I look forward to your next video! I was disappointed that you didn't have more uploaded, I was so intent on watching. Thank you for sharing this video with us on youtube. Best of luck and keep that creative mind busy!

  • @Denfall I'm happy you enjoyed watching! I have another on the way soon, as a matter of fact. All the animations were done through AfterEffects. The only third party extension I used was TrapCode Particular for the scene where the text/camera rises through the clouds over the ocean (the giant x across the camera is because it was a trial version only, lol, i like to think it as helicopter cockpit instead). Other than that, all the motions can be achieved through the bare software itself.

  • Thats freaking tight dude great job love the song

  • Great stuff! I tried typography again recently. I really like yours, though.

  • Clever, a very tasty application of text!

  • Well done sir/madame well done

  • This video is really good.
