THAT WASN'T A PING

@arizonagirl24 I don't want to say it's your fault, but why didn't you get the rifle fixed before if you knew had it problems?

Is it a good deal if I got one for 200$ they guy didn't even know what kind of rifle it was or what caliber it shot...?
-
@Richco07 Ha, I'm sorry. It is an American Battle field rifle.
But still, to be issued to every tom, dick and harry they can scrape up and dress out and send over seas, it should be fairly idiot proof.
Looks like it fired out of battery.

@blatantmisconception Your username is incredibly relevant regarding your reply.

On a side note: Look at her shooting posture, or lack thereof. She is REALLY leaning back, absolutely terrified of the recoil. Note how her head gets popped backwards after ever shot, like she's getting hit in the face by a boxer. Watch, *boink*...... *boink*...... *boink*.
Between that and the failure to diagnose what happened, this was a demonstration of poor gun safety and shooting discipline, all around. Sad that a great rifle and piece of history had to pay the price for it.

"oh SHIT" that is sad....

@Richco07 It's a battlefield rifle... There should be no room for user error.
-
I hate garand deaths due to user error.

"The M1 jammed like it often does."
Huh? I've never had an M1 jam. In fact, it's the only rifle I own (other than bolt or pump actions) that actually never jams. Everything else has, multiple times. Even the AK.
-
That made my heart freaking skip a beat.
-
Oh and M1's rarely jam, that should tell you there was a problem right there.
The 7th round was a live round. The M1 jammed like it often does. Instead of forcing that round into the chamber, I took it out and slammed the bolt forward. We are thinking the chamber did not close all the way. My brother's M1 will still fire that way.
