I had a nasal polyps removal on 1/12/2012. A week after that, my dr. removed the package and he asked me to do the irrigation 3 times a day. He gave me his own recipe, which is one cup of water, 1/3 to 1/2 a teaspoon of iodized salt, 1 teaspoon of backing soda. The solution is working perfectly with me. The first time I did, it wasn't a good experience, but you'll get use to it. Now, I do it very easily.

after years of sinus problems i've decided to do the rinse. Will be trying my first rinse tonight however i'm a little nervous

arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh ... there is an 'H' in herbal...

Plus all that air up there can't be good, particularly for those with air already trapped in their eustachian tubes.

I imagine this would get stuck inside my head worse than with a neti pot. Anyone with internal inflammation from allergies have to be careful.

is that painful?
-
nasty, you swallowed half of it

You looked like you enjoyed that alot. Lol jk but I love it!

@kevinbattista elaborate. theyre just better?
My biggest problem is that it is difficult to do a proper flush with a small bottle. My neti pot hold 15 ounces and it is the only one i use. The bottle is ineffective because there isn't a constant stream and the head is not being turned sideways for proper drainage.

You really should try our new Sinus Genie neti bottle. It;s a hybrid of a neti pot and rinse bottle in one. I guarantee you'll love it. It actually lets you use it as a neti pot, but you can also control the flow by squeezing it. Our Sinus Genie Neti Bottle makes all other nasal rinse applicators obsolete.

When I do nasal rinsing, I usually prefer baking soda over any other stuff. And wow, I love the feeling it gives me because it feels awesome and clean. But I got to try some of these things too, looks effective as well.

Try Sinus Genie salt and if you don't like it we'll give your money back, but you'll see it's awesome stuff.

depending on the size of my nostrils that applicator wouldnt even fit up my nose.however now i know how i can make up my own sea salt mix using a smaller applicator ie nose dropper forcing up a few crushed mixed peppers into the solutuion as well will be suffice.thanks for the tip.i 'm feeling much better today. thanks for asking. so kind of u.

Those rinse bottle tips look big, but you don't put the top in your nose. You simply place it against your nostril and let the little hope in the top do the work. I wouldn't advise putting crushed peppers up your nose either. Good luck though.
