Jesus is The SON of God...he's not God himself...i hate when silly folks twist up the Word with ignorance... God is God (Jesus father)...Jesus is the Son of God....God is GREATER than Jesus (even though JESUS great) so they can't be the exact same.. as Paul said in 1 corinthians 15:28 (then shall the SON also himself be Subject unto HIM (GOD) which put all things under HIM (JESUS) duhhh so quit caliing Jesus GOD....

In Islam we believe that Jesus son of Mary is the True Messiah and we believe in his 2nd coming.

Jesus preached the message of monotheism. God clarified in the Quran that Jesus was not crucified; rather, it was made to seem that way to the Jews, and that God raised him to the Heavens.

They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but (another) was made to resemble him to them (Quran 4:157)

God lifted him up to His presence. God is Almighty, All-Wise. (Quran 4:158)

Mormons do not put their modern day prophet above christ. certainly they don't believe he is god. They believe the book of mormon to be equal to the bible, not greater than. They believe christ is the ONLY way to salvation just as other christians. They believe the angel taught Joseph Smith the same gospel Jesus taught which has been proven to be distorted by man because of all the different sects started by MEN. Please only use arguments based on facts or scripture.

You're incredibly ignorent. WHY YOU CHOSE CHRIST! - Because you happened to be in America, and therefore happened to brought up into the christian faith. If you were born in India, you'd be a hindu, if you were born in the middle east you'd be a muslim, if you were born in ancient Greece you'd believe in Thor. You did not choose christianity, you were indoctrinated into it from a young age.

Amazing. You claim Mormons "totally discount" the New Testament, but when push-comes-to-shove with christians they inevitably end up discounting most of the old testament except the parts they don't want to discount. This kind of puts a dent in the bible being the "perfect, inerrant words of god." You shouldn't be able to pick-and-choose which parts of something that is "perfect and inerrant" you want to refer to as metaphor and which you want to embrace as truths.

the Qur'an teaches that Jesus was a powerful prophet of God. Islam follows the Abrahamic belief that God is ONE and Jesus was sent by God as a powerful prophet you performed miracles by the permission of God.

Therefore your prejudicial, narrow minded view is still not in accordance with the bible, but instead is the depiction conjured up by 4th century councils that were heavily influenced by Platonism, and Hellenistic influence, and anyone that defied them were either put to death or exiled.

The deity of Jesus Christ was decided upon by a vote . A few hundred church leaders gathered at Nicea in 325 AD. to vote on the matter. (the vote was loaded, because most of the opposing bishops were either KILLED or EXHILED or excluded!) Representation for the TRUTH about the Godhead was allowed by only a small fraction of those TRUE Christians...we lost the TRUTH then to the pagan trinity of man.
