A warm front passing through Southern Ontario produced snow which then changed over to freezing rain. Embedded thunderstorms produced cloud to cloud and cloud to ground lightning strikes. While not unusual it did provide some interesting visuals with 30cm of snow visible covering most surfaces.

The thing about thnder in the rain is that the most beautiful thing that you get to see is the bolt in the sky. When its snowing, the freaking air glows a blinding white as well as anything else with the puffy white stuff on it. Nothing is quite more terrifiying than not being able to see crap in the middle of night because your cornias are scarred.

I saw lightning in a snow storm for the first time last night. I was outside and then this huuuge blue flash lit up the whole woods and scared the shit outta me. At first I thought it was a transformer exploding then I read its just the lightning light refracting through the snow on the ground

I just had 8 inches fall where I live in ALABAMA, we never get snow, it's unreal. I also saw lightning and the amount of snowfall didn't change. Just 1 random thing of lightning
