Hawaii Association of Independent Schools (HAIS) Finalists - Takitani Foundation Scholarship 2009

The Mamoru and Aiko Takitani Foundation, Inc. has awarded scholarships to 61 exceptional seniors from every qualifying public and independent high school in Hawaii. Two students were presented Distinguished Student Awards of $10,000 each and one student received an Outstanding Student Award of $5,000. Seven high school seniors received $3,000 scholarships and 51 additional students were awarded $1,000 scholarships.
Recipients of $1,000 scholarships are as follows: Hawai`i Association of Independent Schools: Nanea Cavaco of Kamehameha Schools Maui; Cecilia Chung of La Pietra Hawai'i School for Girls; Micah Del Rosario of Kamehameha Schools O`ahu; Cheyenne Gaspar of Kamehameha Schools Hawai'i; Allicia Imada of Seabury Hall; Alyssa Imai of Hawai'i Baptist Academy; Sophie Luu of Le Jardin Academy; James Okada of Lutheran High School of Hawai'i; Ashbea Oyadomari of Hanalani Schools; Julia Zhang of `Iolani School; and, Wenhui Zhang of Punahou School.
