Well he's dead now. So why havn't we left Afganistan... Minerals. Why didn't they kill him in 2001? To justify the invasion of Iraq.

That could still go along with some vested interest in letting UBL live a little longer to further the cause for war with Iraq. I think you can bet that that thought occurred to someone at dod, state or wh.

Dalton Fury is really a 6 foot 6 300 lb black guy. The make up artists did an awesome job.

@TorturedXeno Having just finished Dalton's book I must agree that Delta did get screwed. I don't suspect that the US government was trying to let UBL go. It was a series of bad strategic decisions that allowed him to slip away. I think leaders in Washington were too busy micromanaging the operation and didn't take the advice of these elite warriors. Delta did the best they could with what they were given.

I have a feeling that Delta got screwed over here. Working with incompetent Afghan locals and getting two or more good plans disapproved? Was the US government TRYING to let Bin Laden escape?
