2 things Ive down TKD for 5 years got my black belt and sparred in national fights.i can tell u that so called black belt in TKD does not know what the hell hes doing and i met ryron last night!

@Newplayerinthegame the bottom line is that gjj was never a good self defense system,it is a match fight system,the type of thing seen in immature highschool kids and macho brazilians,its all about ego.It assumes no weapons,only 1 opponent,both parties square off,a clear area to fight in.These things rarely happen .Real fights are assualts preceeded by dialogue and a sucker punch,ambushes and multiple attackers,knives are commonplace.I love wrestling and bjj and have for about 15 yrs by the way

@Newplayerinthegame several in high school but I was just a kickboxer then.Since I started grappling twice which were assaults not fights as such,neither involved grappling because I hit first.In the past decade Ive never met anything I couldnt avoid or talk out of and dont go to nightclubs or bars where trouble starts.Most adults dont get into fights if theyre smart.Grappling is a damn stupid option in crowded places where who knows how many accomplices there are.

well he sucked so that shows his tkd back ground. im not knocking on the korean tkd guys, but here in the states all traditional martial arts are a watered down joke.
