Missing World War II Plane Found With Soldiers' Remains

More than 60 years after crewmembers of the B-24D "The Swan" disappeared in New Guinea during World War II, their remains have been found and idntified.

My utmost respect and admiration to true heroes that risked all to keep us safe. Everyone should remember that sacrifice. We still have heroes today that follow in their footsteps. Make no mistake, they may be from a different era, but they are still cut from the same cloth. That of a true American Soldier, Sailor, and Airman.

@bad74maverick1. You are talking about 'Witchcraft'. I saw it at a Wings of Freedom show in Tyler, Texas back in the Early Spring. Many years ago I had the opportunity to assist changing the oil on the #3 engine of one of those converted B-24s, 'Diamond Lil'. I had to decline due to a bitchy wife who had enough of the museum. Makes you wonder something the media and the inaccuracy of what they’re talking about. They call airmen soldiers and they talk about B25’s but show B17’s. Not major grave errors I guess but still it makes me wonder about subjects that I don’t know about and wouldn’t be able to pick out the discrepancies …..never the less I’m happy for the family’s now able to have some closure
