I mean, even more than that, why would he even allow the doors to ever be opened? I would have sealed those so tightly, they would be like anti-theft packaging; impossible to open without destroying it.

OK, Martian Manhunter guarded this place for thousands of years, and in that time, he didn't reinforce the doors to the point at which a puny human astronaut could not pry it open with a pick? Seriously? This ancient plague wiped out Jonnz's civilization, and he couldn't make the door any stronger. This is a great episode, and I love it, but that seems like a really big error to me.
