Our neurotic dog, part 2

Her fear of bowls and plates got to the point where she won't even go near the spot where her food and water bowls once were (we have since removed them). She's been only eating food if it's on the rug in the family room, and only drinking water from the floor of my parents' shower.

We've been trying to gradually wean her from these habits because she keeps scratching at the rug when she wants food, and having her drink out of the shower is just... lolwut. (It's also a pain because she's ALSO scared of going up and down stairs by herself, so often we have to carry her up there just so that she can get to the shower.)

We've gotten her to drink water from a plate set inside the shower (progress!), but eating off a plate on the rug... not yet.
