Motorcycle trip to Bolivia 2006

Images of my motorcycle trip to Bolivia in April 2006. I started the trip in Rio de Janeiro with Uyuni salt desert (Salar de Uyuni) as final destination. Some pictures were taken at Corumba (Brazilian border), Potosi, Sucre, and San Jose de Chiquitos.

Hola Guestancio. Muy bueno lo de tu viaje! Ojo cuando pases por Bolivia, pues si la moto es grande (creo que la tuya es pesada) se te puede hacer complicado entre Oruro y Uyuni (si es que piensas hacer este trecho). Esa parte del camino es de tierra y tiene algunos pedazos de talco puro... es terrible! Pero buenisima tu aventura! Suerte!

Thank you! Somó is a beverage, a mix of cooked white corn grains and "chicha", a soft alcoholized drink. The taste is good, it's a traditional soft drink in Bolivia.

This looks like a fun trip. Have you done any others since? I'm taking off on my first road trip next month. I wont be going off-road but it should be fun. Do you have any pointers? I'm going solo from Las Vegas to San Diego and then up the Pacific Coast HIghway to Canada. It should be fun... not really sure what to expect.
