Enjoy steam logging operations in Washington State with 2-6-6-2 number 14, and ex Sierra #38, plus 2-8-2 number 90. This was one of the last steam loggers in the U.S. Maynard Laing shot 16mm color footage of this railroad, and we have obtained audio from his friend Elwin Purington. • those locomotives are neat.

  • # 38 is sitting in a locomotive Bone yard in Southern Oregon.

  • Does antone know where the old #38 mally ended up?

  • @Kanefan701 well, even though shes in rough shape, i believe theirs hope, an almost identical locomotive runs in Washington, CC&C #15, search her up, she looks almost identical.

  • I hope they do give her the TLC that she needs.

  • @Kanefan701 but she is in REAL rough shape, they need some TLC care on her

  • Thank God.

  • @Kanefan701 Rayonier #90 has

  • @pdxsteam I talked to the crew of the hiesler there, they say it will never move

well, i don't believe them, but #90 needs some major TLC before the thought of being moved

  • I'm not sure about the other engines, but #90 sits on display in Garibaldi, OR on the Oregon coast. I think they're going to use it to power trains on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad sometime in the future.
