  • Can't you also add native support for lightwave weightmaps itself? and also the hability to export FBX ( skeleton only ), so we can do corrections in the deform mesh using weightmaps inside lightwave itself. MDD freezes all points in space and we can't edit anymore.

  • @silviotoledo well.. if you are going back to lightwave, you just save the scene.. and get the joints, etc.. you don't have to use mdd to go back to lw.

  • once the object is exported (along with the scene in lw), you can also adjust the weightmaps inside of lightwave at your convenience. MDD and other vertex cache formats are really just in case you dont have lightwave, but want to transfer the animation to other 3D applications
