I really need help with singing. I would love private lessons. I am a tenor so I think but I am not able to find my voice. For some odd reason I got put into the choir and now they will not let me out. I want to know how to sing so bad! Do you think its possible for me to find a voice and learn to sing?

I'm afraid to try to use my real singing voice because I'm afraid that if it totally sucks then everyone will hear it and be like is that how you really sing?? If I knew it would sound amazing when I did it in front of people I'd be doing it all the time!

This all makes al lot of sense to me and it's really helpfull to know these things, but my problem is that I have stage fright. I strongly believe that if I didn't have any stage fright that I could sing the way I want to. But sadly, I think my voice is not good enough because I get so nervous around people that it just causes me to tense up and not do so well. I haven't done any kind of actual singing, like really trying to sing in front of people cause I'm too shy to, just knida messin around

Hello, Im an Alto in chorus, and we're singing a song called Something Told The Wild Geese . My Question Is During These Lyrics "Summer sun was on their wings. Winter, winter, winter in their cry" I Can't Really Go Low Enough, Is There A Way That I Can Practice to make my voice sing as low as note D or G ?
Mr. Burnley, I have been singing for pleasure for about four years. I started off lousy but eventually have gotten better somehow teaching myself without even knowing. But what I can't seem to understand is I feel underneath my chin and sing but I only feel the muscle slightly push downwards. Any reason why?
My parents think I can't sing and that paying for simple lessons is ridiculous so I do this is private. But my sister says I'm good enough to sing with a pro but she's hard of hearing.

@Snake13solid You may feel a little bit of movement, but if they're coming down with the same feeling as when you swallow food, or yawn, then they are restricting your sound.

Should my voice box move up at all? and how do I stop myself from breaking into falsetto.

@CacheSeaker No. Your voice box should not move at all. Use less sound, or pressure as you're going higher in the beginning and try to think that you're singing "down" into the higher notes.
