Debate on entry of Christians and Muslims in Guruvayoor ?

Rahul Easwar - "1200 years back, the greatest Indian Guru Sree Shankaracharya defined our temple systems, now we can evolve them to adapt to the modern times.
In Rahul Easwar's opinion, "We should allow Christians and Muslims into Guruvayyoor and other sacred temples taking inspiration from Sabarimala. The great Singer, Yesudas, a Christian, Yosuf Ali Kecheri,a great devotee of Guruvayoorappa, should all be allowed. The gates of our temples should be opened to all irrespective of Caste, religon and creed. Sabarimala is a great example of this. 1000 years back Lord Ayyappa built a mosque for his Muslim friend Babar inside Temple Complex. Ayyappa was a great revolutionary, a visionary, a philosopher, the Kaliyugavugavardan who Indians believe to be the upholder of justice till Kalki, the final avatar arrives.

  • Are you really a Hindu or someone else posing as a Hindu on this site ? Rahul makes good points, and he is right when he says changes can be made to accommodate others. So I do not understand why you have a problem with that. And which other religions as as open minded, perhaps you can give some specificity.

  • nyaah if christians and muslims are allowed in temples, hindus should be allowed in mosques and given the sacred bread after mass in churches...even without converting to christianity...no... temples are not cinema houses...its for believers and its traditions and rituals should be respected...its like saying anyone can go to hospital and pose as doctor..

  • @see2saw What is your Kerala culture. To shower curses mirey, poori, thayoli, pundachi and so on. Mallus call each other in trains like - da mirey !!! You need to be third rated to live in Kerala - Late Kamala.

  • Hindus are very careful in not creating pains in the mind of non Hindus. They never try to denigrate the Bible or Koran, unfortunately thousands of Christian missionaries and Islamic propagandists along with socalled intellectuals spread as much negatives as possible about Hindu dharma.

  • @see2saw yea i agree ... doesnt vettukad palli allow everyone n neone to enter their church.. doesnt bheema palli allow all to enter and pray inside the mosque... ok even if some problems persist in our society fer such issues shudnt we correct it?

  • In fact this is a stupid controversy. Jesusdas may be a believer of Lord Krishna. But most of the true Christians and Muslims do not want enter in a temple. They consider it a sin.

  • lunatickerala..whats your problem with kerala? Did you have a bad expeience with kerala or people people from that state?

  • I never claimed anywhere that, I am highly cultured, intelligent, well mannered and 100% literate like you. I am an illiterate poor slum dog, but definitely not a fucking hypocrite:)

  • ooo thats y ur retarded..thanx for sharing ur woes..

  • The funny thing is, all these people are busy working for other societies or states or countries. Sridharan also is a mallu but he is busy building metros in other places. And in Kerala even before they could talk on Kochi metro, small business owners are whining and so the project may be stalled. Truly fucking lunatics.

  • By just having some pubic hairs, one does not necessarily grow up !!!
