on july 11, 2007, sara taylor set about waiving various portions of the largely-specious claim of blanket executive privilege asserted by the bush white house. she did so unwittingly, by providing answers which indicated that the president was uninvolved, and thus he had no privilege to assert. she also delved into matters of which she had personal knowledge, and drew legal conclusions about them. now harriet miers is in deep trouble -- for she must explain sara taylor's statements vis a vis her assertion of executive privilege, or lose the same. delicious.
