What a joyless, souless rendition of this song. I agree with Cohen in saying too many people have attempted to sing it.  I cringed to hear him try to force his rather narrow range, and then drone on and on with that nasal inflection. This song deserves better, and is the type of thing you would hear in a Kareoke bar,

Wow, this post is off for so many reasons. Whoever wrote it really is in another nether. OK, we'll start from the top.
Rufus, lacking in voice?! That's to silly to even comment on. Cohen has always said he loves what Buckley did with that song. Insinuating that Jeff Buckley's version is bubblegum and weak emotionally, when it is clearly riddled with feeling, speaks to the fact that you know little to nothing about singing or music.

This is not the Rufus all those people were referring to. It is nice but it doesn't really compare with his own compositions. Try listening to the record "Poses". That's the "Sooooo goood" Rufus. I promise you.
