c) it's NOT a song about David (nor Samson). It merely refers to them, amidst many biblical references, and seems to be about a relationship or relationships generally. Since there are apparently something like 80 original verses, I think you should feel free to hear in it whatever you like. But you ought not make the mistake of imposing your presumption on others.
