I expect due process from Iran.
-
Who expects due process from Iran?
That's like expecting Keith Olbermann to not act like a jackass.
-
Suspending habeus corpus isn't good enough for the american people.
In much the same way that we don't like it when Iran imprisons americans without a fair trial, to protect our own, we must show the same due process we expect from other nations.

I appreciate your point, but I have no problem with the U.S. treating a non-U.S. citizen who tried to take down an airliner full of innocent people like a enemy combatant.
If suspending habeus corpus was good enough for Abraham Lincoln, it should be good enough for Barack Obama.

you are correct. i was wrong.
But Bachmann is delusional about the result of imprisoning people without trial at guantanamo bay. If there were 200 of your country people held at a place like that, what would you do?
regarding the "underwear bomber". She is telling us she wants to violate the constitution, something that she is sworn to uphold. I don't want someone representing me who has sworn to uphold the constitution who wants to subvert it.

he was waterboarded in 2003. he wasn't put in guantanamo until much later.
-
link me to where that is claimed.
-
bachmann is absolutely right on this.
and the title of this leads me to a question: who was waterboarded at gitmo?
-
it makes me sad that this person speaks for our nation
Wow. I thought the American Congress was part of the government and not a department in a crazy asylum.
