Two beautiful ballads that I have had the pleasure of singing for many years, most memorably I sang "Wasn't Born to Follow" to my wife Jessica at the alter on our wedding day in June 2002.

"Wasn't Born to Follow" was written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King in 1967, and first appeared on The Byrds 1968 album "The Notorious Byrd Brothers". The song also appeared in the 1969 motion picture "Easy Rider" and subsequently appeared on the movie soundtrack released in August 1969.

"Ballad of Easy Rider" was written by Roger McGuinn and Bob Dylan in 1968, it is said that Dylan first wrote out most of the lyrics on a napkin and gave it to Peter Fonda to pass onto McGuinn.

The song was first performed live by The Byrds in February 1969 and would then later appear in the movie "Easy Rider" as the closing song performed by Roger McGuinn and Gene Parsons. In October 1969 "The Byrds" released it as a single on "Side A" where in many versions of the album it shared "Side B" with "Wasn't Born to Follow" being both songs appeared in "Easy Rider"
