Rare clip taken from the 1967 Singer show. Tune is Mame from the SRO album. Enjoy.

P.S. I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to see Herb and Lani play at Blues Alley in Georgetown Washington DC 12 May 2008. The show was absolutely spectacular. After all these years, they both still have it: the skills and the love. Truly a remarkable show. Herb and Lani, thanks to all of the wonderful years of warming our hearts with your great art work. You both are truly blessed as well as I was at your show.

  • This is another group that I enoyed through my life. I wish Herb Alpert reunites the group again and play all these famous songs. I know that they will come to the top of the charts again. I love them pretty much. Ricardo Salazar Jr.

  • I HAVE THIS WHOLE T.V. SPECIAL ON D.V.D. YEA

  • I saw this Special when it first came out, and it still looks and sounds great. If there were any possibility Herb Alpert could revive the TJB, with his surviving sidemen, and some new musicians, it would be fantastic. I'd be the first in line to buy concert tickets. This was real music that remains timeless!

  • Broadway.....California style, baby!!!!

  • When they sang the line "Mame", they cut to a shot of a girl in a bikini lying on a the beach....she sure didn't look like Auntie Mame to me. LOL

  • A great tune...I also grew up in the 60's, and this song just gets better with age.

    PR

  • makes the trumpet more interesting then the electric guitar doesn't he
