Advice from a seasoned leathercrafter: When casing the leather you need/have to let the surface return to almost it's natural color (the leather will be cool to the touch) otherwise you won't get the desired impression (as shown in the video where the presenter stamps immediately following wetting the leather). Also, lose the kitchen cutting board and wooden mallet and get a marble/granite slab 1.5" thick and a rawhide or poly mallet and your impressions will pop out without near the effort.

    Live Action Role Play

Basically people roleplay and fight using harmless weapons (made out of foam rather then metal)

I'm not sure why he would want a leather mask, maybe he means a leather helmet of some kind.

If I had any I'd gladly post them but the reason I don't is that leatherworking is such a hands-on, tactile craft that the absolute best way to learn is to "just do it". I could post a thousand videos and you'd learn nothing until you actually tried it. Find your nearest Tandy Leather store, they usually have free hands-on lessons and supplies. I live near an Amish population; they're pretty knowledgeable (but they don't put vids on YouTube ;o)). It'll make sense when you try it.

Why would someone like you volunteer to make a video about something you know nothing about. What a waste of time. Harry.......................

Casing leather doesn't make the leather harden up does it.

Making a leather mask for larp and want to imprint some designs on it before hardening it up by boiling it for a few minutes and then letting it dry by heat.
